Yes that will work. If you have a router in your house that you are hooking to you can just put a WAP in the barn if you want. No need for another router really.

I was thinking about using certified underground cable and boring a small hole in the house wall near the floor and connecting to my existing Belkins 1200 Router via a LAN Port. At the barn I was going to drill a hole in the tin, install PVC to protect the wire and then run the wire up to a shelf for a WAP? or a Router. I assume that if I use a WAP then I don't have to disable the DHCP(Whatever that is).

OK. Then the WAP would be in the barn and my single Router wold be back in the house???
Erm. Client is normally the term used for the less central end of a wireless connection. E.g. a computer instead of a router, because the router is closer to the net.
