help with CPU

hi guys I'm planning on changing my cpu, but I'm not too sure if the i7 4770k will work on my set up.

what do I look for and how do I find out

What is your current CPU? i5 4670k would be a better option for most so I'm curious why you picked the i7. Also, why are you upgrading?

Your motherboard needs to have the LGA 1150 socket for the i5/i7 4xxx processors.

Yeah it's really silent and seldom goes above 60C while gaming.

Well it would produce a lot of heat. The GTX 770 has more CUDA cores so you'll need more than clock speeds to catch up with it.

That uses the LGA 1366 socket so you'll need a new motherboard.
