Hello.
I'm thinking of getting a new GPU and I'd like to know which one I should get, the R7 260X or the 6870?
I can get a 6 month old 6870 a bit cheaper than the 270X. I have an i5 2500k, 4 gigs of RAM, a 6670HD and a 450 watt PSU. Which one do You think I should get?
Any help is appreciated :)

Solution
sell the card and buy a 750 ti - gigabyte
if i were you i would go with a gigabyte geforce gtx 750 ti.- slightly slower than the 760 - and $120 difference
the performance rocks low end cards and it can run bf4 at a constant 30 fps
if you use nvidia recommended settings ( 3 video settings at normal - rest at ultra) it runs at an average of 70 fps with a low of 60 fps and high of 120 fps. Its by far the best bang for your buck and destroys all low end graphics cards with a good price of around $150 Canadian
also the texture rate and pixel rate r higher than the r7 260x or 270x and hd 6870 which is better for gamming and clock speed only truly matters (not really maters) when you start doing bitcoin or litecoin minning

if you go for...
The typical total system load I've seen with an R9 270X is 330w and that covers a bit of OC headroom.

Tom's reports the power consumption of 'only' the video card ....

if you go for this card i highly recommend spending $180 and getting the gigabyte windforce version or ghz version and you can then max out the sliders and run it at about 35 degrees celsius and its also very quiet. ps . the card only has 2 fans cause its so small but its temps r good and its very quit

also has very low power consumption and beats the 660 ti by far and the 660 ti beats the 270x by a fare bit

i hope that helps you cause my little bro is getting a build soon and i'm getting him that card
