Every time I turn my computer on, I click on MS Word and a screen of "Now Configuring" pops up. It tells me It has to reboot in order to complete the task, and yet, when the computer turns on again, it's as if it never happened and the whole process happens again. I want to fix this and so would like to know if I can uninstall the MS Office and reinstall it again. I have my product key with me still.

You can always uninstall office; it's there in the regular uninstall menu. In addition to the product key, of course, you will need the media. What version of Word is this? Might it be incompatible with Win8?

@ss202sl - My experience with MS Office under earlier versions of Windows is that it does not need admin privileges when it does this. I could be wrong in this context.
