When i connected my adapter it showed my network but for wpa-2 passphare it showed wep so i am getting trouble connecting to my network.

Solution
The security specs on the adapter have to match the security specs on the router. From what you described, I'm going to presume that your router is set up for WEP. Does the adapter have a WEP option? If so, change the settings on the adapter.

WPA-2 is more secure than WEP, so if the adapter does not have a WEP option, then change the router to WPA-2.
