Hello! Well, I'm thinking of buying an air cooler for my CPU. I'm thinking of buying one of the following(Arctic Cooling Freezer 13 Pro or Coolermaster 212 Evo). What I wanna ask is, will there be any problem with my RAM's height and with any of the above-mentioned air coolers? The MoBo that I'm gonna buy is the Asus Z87i Pro and the Case the Bitfenix Prodigy. Thank ya in advance :D

Those are some pretty large heat spreaders, and because your motherboard only has two slots with minimal amount of room I think you might be pushing it.

What might happen is you will need to install the RAM, then the heat sink, and then attach the fan to the heat sink slightly higher than what it's meant to do.

Or you could play it safe and go with a closed loop water cooler, it's going to be a little more expensive but you won't have to worry about any interference.

I can't say for sure, is there any reason you need RAM with large heat spreaders? If there is a specific application you intend on using which takes advantage of high speed RAM I would just stick with a low profile solution 1600MHz speed RAM.

I am running an ASUS Z87- Pro Motherboard with a Gelid Tranquillo cooler. I think it is a bit smaller than the CoolerMaster and is right up next to the 1st DIMM slot. I am running 4 sticks of GSkill Ripjaws Series Z 2133 Mhz ram which has a high heat spreader. If the Heat sink on the cooler is over the DIMM slot, then you will not be able to use the Memory with the High Heat spreaders or you will need to use something with a smaller heat sink. You didn't say what CPU you were using, but if you do not plan on OCing, then the stock cooler should be fine.

Well, the CPU I'll buy is an Intel Core i5 4670 (not the K one). At the beginning I'm gonna use the stock cooler, but I wanna be able to use one of these coolers if there is any temp. problem in the future. Moreover, I changed my mind and I'l buy the Corsair Vengeance LP 2133mhz (2x4gb). They're low-profile RAM Sticks so there won't be any problem with the ram sticks. Although, I just wanna make sure if the Freezer 13 Pro will be fine on this mobo! Will it be?

If you are going to get the i5 4670 Processor, then you won't be over clocking and you should be fine with the stock cooler.

Well, A guy from a greek youtube channel had bought this cooler (Freezer 13 pro) for his prodigy rig. Although, he bought an asus p8z77i mobo and he had to jag some milimetres of the metal thing because it was on the PCB of the mobo and it didn't fit. So my question is, will this cooler fit on my mobo or will I face some issues like the one I just said? As I said before, I just want to know if there's any room issue that won't let me install this cooler (Freezer 13 pro) in the future in case of temp. issues.
