Hello!

I want to buy a new computer (to develop with ue4 and play videogames), I'm posting this because I have questions, specially with the motherboard and power supply components.

CPU: AMD F8320 3.5GHz 8MB 125W

GPU: I want a GTX770, but I don't know which one, I choose between an ASUS GTX 770 DCII OC 2GB or MSI TwinFrozr or Gigabyte.

HDD: BARRACUDA 2TB SATA 6GB/S 7200RPM 64MB BUFFER

RAM: Crucial 2X8GB 1866Mhz

Motherboard:
I wanted to buy the 970A-DS3P (970+SB950) GBLAN SATA3 USB3.0 FW, but the shopman told me that there will be problems with the electricity or something like that (I don't understand), he recomended me to buy 90XA-UD3 (990X+SB950) GBLAN SATA3 USB3.0 FW DOLBY S/PDIF, but it's expensive... what do you think?

Power Supply:
Nowadays I have a CORSAIR 620W of my old computer (http://techgage.com/reviews/corsair/hx620w/corsair_hx620_01.jpg) and I don't know if I can use it with this new one, because I went to a shop this morning and the shopman told me to buy a Thermaltake 700W...

CASE: I have a Coolermaster Centurion 534, I think that there's no problem.

I don't want to Overclock the computer.

Thanks and sorry for my bad english!!

PD: Was the shopman trying to rip me off?

Well that power supply is getting a little old, especially if it's been used continuously for 5 years. You can give it a try, but if you start experiencing problems, that is the first thing I would replace.

As for motherboards, typically the new chipsets are better than older. So the 970 will be better than 780. The 950 southbridge is better than the 710.

As for brand, I personally like ASUS over GigaByte. I would say the M5A97 Rev 2.0 not the LE version, would be better. However it will be more expensive. I have experience with the M5A97 Rev 2.0 (built my daughters computer with it) and it's a decent no frills motherboard. One of the problems with the LE is it doesn't have a heatsink on the VRM. They get pretty warm even when...
Since you said that you don't plan to overclock, I think you'll be OK with the motherboard. It doesn't have the beefiest power phases, but as long as your running stock, I'm sure you'll be alright.

As for the power supply, you should be OK too, you won't have a lot left over though. How old is the supply now?

As for the graphics card, I can recommend the ASUS 770 personally, my son has it and it is an excellent card.

The supply is five years old.
I don't know if ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3 (780L+SB710) or ASUS M5A97LE Rev 2.0 (970/SB950) are better than 970A-DS3P (970+SB950) GBLAN SATA3 USB3.0 FW (similar cost).
Definitively, I'm going to buy ASUS GTX770.
Thanks for your time!

They get pretty warm even when not overclocking, so having the heatsink is preferable. The other big thing is no front panel USB 3.0 ports.
