Need advice on DIY system

Hi all, I'm from Singapore and I'm trying to assemble my first desktop. Purpose is mainly to watch HD movies, Youtube, gaming (dont need max settings, not extreme hardcore gamer) like AC4. Good graphics is definitely a plus because I want my desktop to last as long as possible.

I have researched most of the computer parts but am a little unsure about some components:

Mobo: Gigabyte H87-D3H
CPU: Intel i5-4670 (3.4ghz)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz (4gb x 2)
CD: LG 24x DVD-Writer SATA
SSD: Samsung 840 Evo 120gb
HDD: Seagate 1TB 7200rpm

Things I am unsure:
Monitor: 21-23 inch, matte, low ms (5ms or lower), any brand that is decent
GPU: Looking at Gigabyte GTX760 OC 2GB currently, but I'm not sure if I should wait for 860 to arrive..
OS: Win 7 or Win 8.1
PSU: Coolermaster 600/650W enough?
Case: Have no idea about casing
Wifi: Do I need a wifi card?

My budget is SGD1,500 all in. I have keyboard, mouse, speakers already. I also have a win7 cd key.. so I don't exactly need to purchase win8.1 if the budget overruns.

What you have picked mostly looks good. A 760 would be a great gpu. I'd recommend not waiting forever. Just buy what's available now.

Asus and Benq make good monitors.

OS is a matter of your preference. A far as functionality goes there isn't really any difference. Just stick with what you already have.

That psu would be ok, but coolermaster psus aren't always the best quality. Try to stick to seasonic, antec, corsair, enermax, pcp&c, and xfx. I just recommend getting a modular psu. 600W would be plenty powerful enough.

Case is another matter of opinion. Do you want a bunch of LEDs and a window? Plain rectangle? Cable management? Color? Anything will work.

Wifi card. Can't answer that. Do you need it? Plugging in directly is better for gaming (lower ping), but that isn't possible for everyone so I can't answer for you.

Not sure if there are Benq monitors here, haven't really heard about them, or anyone using them for that matter. I have something personal against ASUS, so that's out too. Was looking at Samsung or Phillips actually, (they have cheap ones) what do you think?

Yes I will be getting modular gold 80+ ones. From what you say, I'll probably settle for seasonic or corsair :)

Actually I just want a plain one, looks not that important for me. Probably one that is able to attach a front fan to aid cooling (since I'm not buying any cooling system)

Oh actually about the Wifi card, I meant to ask if my setup already contains a wifi card cause I'm not too sure.

Samsung makes great displays too. I didn't even realize philips made monitors.

Fractal tend to have plain cases. They're probably you're best bet for a plain rectangle. Here's an example. It might be a little pricy though. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811352030

No, I only know of one motherboard that comes with a wifi adapter and that's from Asus.

If you want to you can update your build with the new parts and I can take another look.

Oh, one more thing. You will probably need to buy an extra SATA cable, unless you already have some laying around.

I think I will decide on the monitor as well as case when I'm there at the shop, they do have a number of choices. MIght get a ViewSonic or AOC monitor, reviews for them in general seem pretty fine, and they're cheap. I like Fractal's minimalistic approach, thanks for the introduction!

My build will very likely be:

Things I am unsure:

Case: Will take a look when I'm at the shop, although Fractal is giving me a good impression
Wifi: I guess I wouldn't need one for now, will ask when I need!
Extra casing fans: might get one additional front fan for better ventilation when needed

Overall damage: SGD1345, excluding monitor, case, wifi adapter, extra fans, and OS
Monitors at 23inches are selling at SGD200+, and case will likely be SGD100+

So going over my budget lol.. how does this setup look now?
