I had a question does it matter what slot you place a video card in as far as performance goes? I recently purchased a ASRock B85M Pro4 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard and a Asus GeForce GTX 770 2GB Video Card. The card fits in the first slot but is a little crowded and the one edge is very close to a power supply wire I really want to move it to the second slot if that's possible will that cost me performance?

Solution
ASRock B85M motherboard doesn't support SLI and second slot everytime works at 4x, If you put your GPU to second slot your GPU would work 3x times slower, I wouldn't recommend you to run your GPU in second slot!

Thanks that's pretty much what I thought. I had one more question for you if you can help. When installing ram into the motherboard it has a priority of 1 through 3 on the memory configuration with priority 1 having a2 and b2 populated so am I right in thinking those are the two slots I should put my two sticks of ram in?

If you have RAM kit (2x4GB) then you can put to 1 and 3 or 2 and 4 slots to run your RAM in dual channel mode!
If you have only one stick it should work perfectly in whichever slot!
