I'm having an issue I can't seem to fix with Bluetooth since I have recently upgraded. I went with ASRock Extreme4. Before upgrading to this setup I was using a USB Bluetooth dongle from Targus. After the upgrade I had to do a fresh restart of windows. After that windows wouldn't even recognize Bluetooth on my computer. A friend of mine chalked it up to the dongle being bad even though it worked the day before the upgrade. It was old and had a piece broken so I replaced it. The computer seems to be recognizing Bluetooth now and with all the correct drivers and even showing the paired headsets I paired with it. My issue is every time I try and connect it is freezing the screen into a not responding state. Happens with the 3 headsets I have tried. Even though they show paired they just need to connect.
I wonder if because this the Xfast with this board. I actually really like the x fast and I have noticed a difference in transfer times when loading and transferring via USB so I would rather not uninstall if I could help it. But I don't want my Bluetooth investment to go down the drain. I really only use my Bluetooth for VoIP on my computer and it seems like even a new dongle won't fix it. Any suggestion or think uninstalling this might be the key, even though everything seems to be normal other then the actual connecting part?
