Hello, I just made a new user so I went to delete my old user. My macbook pro was charging when I started the deleting it but I guess I might of hit the cord when I when to sleep. I woke to see that my mac was turned off and the power cord was unplugged I plug it in waited 10m then turned it on to see that the user was deleted, but when I went to disk utility it still said I have only 160gb out of 500 free. I also did select the securely delete thing on system preferences when I went to delete the user. I could not find out where the files went they seem to be gone plz help:(

Have you tried cleaning the hard drive from any junk? here is a program that might help.

If this does not work, try taking a look at your largest files on your hard drive with this program.
http://grandperspectiv.sourceforge.net
they should be virus free, I have used them many times.
Best of luck :)
