standoff issues with case

Hey all so for the past hour I have been trying tonfit my new mothebaord (MSI z87gd65) into my corsair c70. But the e bottom standoff holes aren't as deep as the others and the screws won't fit, so I tried some more more CH smaller screws and the hold it in place, will this be OK?

Should be just fine.

That picture with the 2 screws, were you using that really long screw as a MB screw? I'm not familiar with the C70 but I've never used such long screws to attach the MB. The shorter screw is my usual, often with a cardboard washer just for fun.

I've just had a quick glance at the C70 manual. It seems that those super long screws are for case fans, not MB. If they aren't causing a problem on the backside you probably don't need to switch them out, but for consistency and appearance you might want to.

Ummm I just read my case manual it appears I may have read wrong, as I did not have my glasses. There is a note saying mbd/HDD screw's I am guessing mbd meanh mobo. Damn. These are much smaller so probs those. Will I have damaged my mobo using such long screws? It hasn't been on or anything just had the screw in it
