Hi All,

I'm having a pretty unusual problem. I recently moved to a new place, and this new place has a different router/modem combo from Xfinity. I've been trying to connect to the internet through this gateway, but whenever I connect, I never seem to get internet. What's strange is that Network and Sharing center says "Internet", but I can't navigate to any website through any browser, access online accounts through applications such as steam, origin, or spotify, and I can't even ping any websites through cmd. Sometimes, after connecting, the internet will work for anywhere from a few seconds to a minute, but then it completely stops. I want to say the longest it's survived was about 5 min, and when it is connected, it gets decent speed (10-14 mbps speedtest). I tried to troubleshoot it, I read that the wireless card I had used some garbage Realtek drivers that didn't hold connection well, so I messed with the settings and when I would force the card to only use b/g, it worked, but very slowly (2 mbps max), so I figured it was a driver/card problem, so I bought a new one. And, of course, the new one still does the same thing. I thought maybe it was a virus of some sort, scanned at boot-time, and nothing. I tried flushing the DNS (per some guy, on some form) and it seems that no matter what I do I can't seem to figure out what's going on. Any help would be awesome, let me know if there's anything you're unclear about.

Yes, yes, Landlord (I can see if I can get permission to mess with the router settings, I just don't think they're the issue), and yes. Smart phones laptops, and another desktop are connecting fine.
