Will this older monitor (Samsung 226CW) work with my new build?

Hello all,

I have an older monitor (Samsung-22" Widescreen Flat-Panel LCD Monitor-High-Gloss Black-226CW) that I'd love to use with my new build, if possible. Here is the new build: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Daveismyhero/saved/4e1G

I remember thinking it had funky connections (maybe HD?) when I bought it with my equally old computer six years ago.

Any helpful replies would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Yes it will work perfectly fine you'll likely need a cable like this one though.

Hdmi end in the GPU and VGA end in the monitor(because the GPU may not have a VGA port)

It'll work fine. You can use either a DVI cable or a VGA cable. The R9 270 graphics card you selected comes with a DVI-I -> VGA adapter in case you only have a VGA cable.
