well looks like you meant to say 4770k, which is the i7..for gaming you do not need this in any way shape or form and can save money by getting the 4670k
in lue of this, i would also suggest going with a 120gb ssd for large enough savings for you to afford the 780ti

While I agree that for most games, the i5 is sufficient, I disagree about the smaller SSD unless your budget is already strained AND you will be playing on multiple 1080p monitors (or a 4K monitor). For 1080p gaming, a single GTX780 is sufficient for UltraMaxOhWOW! settings, whereas it is easily possible to fill a 128GB SSD.

Onus you have a point, but there are games that the ssd just really doesnt matter in, those being almost any online game (yes your number goes up the fastest in LoL if you have an ssd, but you still have to wait for everyone else). It is nice for games like skyrim or the offline portions of many games.

You can usually fit up to 8 games on the 120gb ssd, (given how much is taken up by the os) and then closer to 20 games on the 240gb, it's more a matter of priority and personal preference than "this option is better than the other one"

My personal preference would be to sacrifice ssd space for a better gpu, and this may not represent what OP would want to do. I personally have a 780 and the i5, and it's great. Can i max crysis 3 with full AA though? no. Do i need to? No. Do i want to? yes.

the only times you'd really notice the difference between 780, and 780ti would be in games like crysis 3 or metro last light where the max settings still do bring the 780 under 60 fps. I play those games, and that is why i myself would recommend the stronger card.

it would be nice, but not necessary

Fair enough. I have software other than games on my systems, and have consumed more than half of their 256GB SSDs. My games are a lot less demanding too (mostly older titles); in fact lately I've been using a HD7750, but may switch back to my HD7870 for a more demanding game soon.

I have a WD green 2tb drive as my secondary drive, and honestly that thing is more than fast enough for all the other applications that otherwise don't have long load times anyways.

the games i have on my ssd are those with the load screens like skyrim or Metro, otherwise the green still loads LoL faster than most other people i meet in game

Good build overall, though if strictly for gaming, can drop to the 4670K as suggested, would also save some by going with the Asus Hero over the Sabertooth, unless the ST has a specific thing you require, can take the savings and go to a better GPU or faster and/or more DRAM, Haswell likes fast DRAM

would suggest the Tridents in 2133/9 or 2400/10
