Hey all. I just upgraded my GPU from Gtx 570 to Windforce 780 GHZ Edition, but i am worried about temperatures. When playing games they are 77-80C max. With default fan auto 66% ( 3090 RPM ).
Is here maybe somebody with the same card? Are that temps too high or normal?
Boost is 1176mhz,but when temps reach 79C it goes down.

What case do you have and how many fans on it? because while still being totaly safe temps for this card i personaly own a GTX 780 MSI twinfrozr and when overclocked to 1250mhz boost wich should cause higher temps my gpu is only reaching about 62-64c in heavy games like BF4 with 60% fanspeed...i find your temps still a bit too high for what they should considering that from reviews i seen on the web the windforce cooler should keep your card even cooler than the twinfrozr...

Yes but i owned a HD7950 with windforce cooler on it and i can tell you that those tiny little fans on it got very high pitch and the thing was getting very very loud past 60% fan speed...it is the reson why i will never get another windforce card...EVER...they keep good temps usualy tho.

Did you had to push the overvoltage and powerlimit sliders to reach those boost clocks or the card is at stock powerdraw?

Splendid
I have two of the GHz editions. 80°c is fine... Use precision to increase your power target and temp target. Create a custom fan profile.

I have mine set at 80% fan speed when they hit 70°c (and are still quiet). They rarely go over that mark... needless to say, once you change the power and temp target it shouldn't throttle at 80°c...

He is correct,

I recently upgraded my rig and bought myself the Asus 780DCU2. Stock my temps were anywhere from 68-75 depending on the map in BF4. I increased the clock speed by 200 and the memory by 300. Changed the power target to 104%/85 degrees and now I sit at 59-64 no matter the map.

Either way, anything below 80 is ideal. However, You can push it to 85 if need be.

Try his solution, I'ts easy and a simple solution.
