Very confusing Game "lag/fps drop"

I have an ex high end laptop that still has enough power to max out games I play with 60fps. I've had a long history of the laptop working fine and then after a few hours or several hours the game drops to 3-4 fps. This seems like my graphics card is overheating. However sometimes immediately or after a few minutes my commands also lag and pressing a button that brings up a menu like esc requires me to spam the button and then the command will go through after a few seconds. Since my graphics card shares it's fan with my cpu this could be cause by cpu overheating due to gpu overheat. However, this is ONLY for games, I can alt tab and everything internet/utube is fine, and tab back in to the lagfest. Also, I can restart my computer and start the game immediately on boot and no problems exist. These games include league of legends, left for dead 2, vindictus, and the new castelvanias. Changing any graphical settings on any games or any combination of settings in windows and my gpu settings does not stop this problem. Changing monitors does not either. I took my laptop undercover off, completely dusted everywhere, took the battery out entirely and have now left the cover off. My cpu and gpu temps are low during play and neither are at 100% load. Again I'd like to mention that I can play these games with max settings for hours with no problem at system restart, it is not my hardware. My only fan runs fairly quiet and has nothing wrong with it. I have clean installed windows as well as using anti virus/malware/spyware/rootkits/registry cleaners/defrag ect. I have all updated drivers and all updates for windows. I've taken my computer to several computer technicians and no one has ever been able to solve my problem. I've had this issue for about 6 years now so I thought I'd see if any one in the world can solve it.

Ok is there any specific game in which this happens or in all the game? I may be wrong but your laptop might be failing? What graphic card is there in your laptop? Are you sure your power settings aren't set to balanced or power saver instead of high performance. What is the cpu usage and the graphic card usage when the lag occurs?

lol if the answer was so simple I would not be here. Rather then me post my specs and start a pointless debate as to the quality of my specs I'll take some video of my problem with a temp/usage monitor and then take some video of what my laptop can do without the problem. Fyi I just played Castelvainia Mirror of Fate for 6 hours last night at max settings on a 26" screen with no issues. As stated above this problem pertains to all games I play, which are from different devs, different genres, and different levels of graphic intensity. Note: I do seem to notice an increase in the problem's chance of occurring when my laptop has been on overnight or for a few days.

What windows are you using? If you are running windows 8 than i fear there is a memory leak. Also laptop graphic card are integrated with the processor and share the same fan with the processor so they are easily heated up and can cause fps drop out. Like you said running a laptop for a day is enough to cause overheating but when you shut it down you allow it to cool and than re start it again run games for few hours and it heating up again causing fps drops. And please tell what windows are you using?

sigh my stupid program I got to record my game only recorded at 10 fps........so
Windows 7 normal people edition
I don't even shutdown my computer, I literally use the restart feature so it has like 2 seconds to cool off. Then I go right back to gaming. I am also now playing with the back off so the fan is in the open air. My cpu cores average 40 idle and 60 full load, my gpu is 60 idle and 63 full load. My gpu is the geforce gtx 260m which falls under high-mid range category for April 2014. My load for my gpu when I game is around 60% and my cpu usage under task manager is about 85%. I am sure that I am on full power mode. None of these numbers change when I have 60 fps or 4 fps.

Since none of these number changes than the game might the problem, what games are you playing in which the lag occurs. You said you have gtx 260M is not that powerful, it is on par with gt 630 or slightly better and the gt 630 is entry level card or you could count a little higher than that but that's it. Can you post your specs just to be sure. Are you connecting a external monitor or a Tv or just playing on laptop LCD?

I feel like a broken record, yes I have a tv I use as a monitor and my problem has happened both using it and just using my laptop screen. I can play the games I have this problem with at 60 fps on MAX SETTINGS FOR HOURS AT A TIME ON MY TV. I have already listed some of the most recent games I have had this problem with which include one non steam game and one non internet game.

I don't see any obvious spots where something has gone missing in the hardware, but that's without taking out my entire case and detaching certain elements. Why would something like that cause an infrequent sporadic lagfest, I would have thought that it would be much more consistent if it were a hardware problem.

I mean that the wiring may be lose or scratched or simply the wires which supply current are only touching the board which means that they are although providing the current but that lose connection sometimes interrupt the continuous flow of current and cause lag or spike drops. It may be caused by anything like over heating for 6 years or from drops but may fear goes towards the heating.

Well it's never been mishandled, why would these lose wires go from working for long lengths of time to suddenly not working, and then be fixed by a simple pc restart? Also how would one go about fixing that?
