help seagate firmware fail, unable to boot D:

HELP, i was doing the seagate firmware update, and it failed, saying 'unable to restore MBR'
and im thinking that something went very wrong and tried sticking the installation disc in there and booting from there, but it keeps bringing me to the failed message, even after reboot, safe reboot, and CD boot?!! HELP??!!

Try creating a gparted live bootable disk/usb and use that to create new MBR
http://gparted.org/livecd.php
It should boot from it.(keep in mind that this will delete all data)
Why were you updating your HDD firmware though?
Did you have problems with it to begin with?

well i was doing a clean install, and the dell site said there was a firmware update for it, and i installed it and S*** went down. i hope gparted will work. Thanks!
