I am trying to set up three (1 main + 2 extended) monitors. Can I accomplish this with two graphics cards. These are the two cards I have:

1. nVidia GE Force 8400 GS (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...)
2. nVidia Quadro FX 570 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...)

Both are compatible on the motherboard that I have. The Quadro FX 570 has two DVI ports, but only one of them is working.

Thanks

No, you can not use those cards.
You must have an SLI setup for more then one card.
First your cards must support SLI.
Also, they have to be the very same card.
You will also need a big PSU for multiply GPUs.

The maximum amount of monitors the 8400 GS supports is 2, so you'll need a better GPU if you want to use 3 monitors. Same goes for the Quadro FX 570.

Thanks for the replies guys. @montosaurous, Actually I have the Quadro FX 570 (256 MB) running just one monitor, while the GE Force 8400 GS (1GB) on two monitors. Would this arrangement work ?

You cannot use those two cards together in an SLI Configuration unfortunately, and neither supports SLI anyways. Just out of curiosity, what are the rest of your system's specs?
