BUDGET COMPUTER for graphics and retail store Designers using CAD,PS6. w/ OLD GAMING rigs so I SAVE $ + ENVIRONMENT

Hi Everyone,

This is just a continuation of my previous post about building computers for my company's graphics and store designers. Since I am a pack rat and I upgrade my gaming rig pretty often. So I have 4 pretty high performance gaming rigs that I don't use anymore. Thought I make use those computers:

Basic info:
Hi I am thinking of upgrading my company's computers for my graphics designers and store designers.

Budget: As much as it takes to make the user productive under the below workload. With a Maximum of adding 300 USD
Work load: 10 to 15 posters or floor plans a day
Software - Photoshop 6, CAD, PS Illustrator
Budget I really don't know just want them to work more efficiently because they are saying they have to wait for 5 to 20 mins to open a file.

Need 4 X 2D intensive workstation and 2 X 3D intensive ones.
PLEASE COMMENT ON WHETHER OR NOT THE COMPONENTS I USE IS AN OVERKILL FOR THE USAGE OR IT WILL NOT HELP OR EVEN MAKE THE SYSTEM WORST

  1. The following is from my previous thread that I thought was useful for this exercise. Which was written by BambiBoo THANKS YOU BAMBI for the detail recommendations.

From your brief description, it appears you might consider having two levels of performance, with a good basic system that spent more of it's time in 2D and a system that was better for 3D and rendering- more bandwidth, ECC RAM, workstation GPU, and the ability to upgrade to 6-core CPU.

    The 1st Tier system >

There are a lot of choices of course. A middle range system might use Xeon E3-1230 v3 for example >

This would be a very good workstation level system, but LGA2011 is a better long-term investment- change to 6 or core, greater bandwidth, more PCIe lanes, higher memory capacity.

    Cheers,
