Help! My computer (hp pavilion m9417c) won't turn on. The PSU light is a solid green and I have done the paper clip test, so it shouldn't be the power that's the problem. I've tried everything on the internet for general troubleshooting but nothing works. I've had this problem before but a friend of mine told me to just remove the power cord, wait five minutes, remove the p1 cord from the motherboard, plug the power back in and BAM it magically turned on no problems. I tried that and it will not power on. Please help and thank you in advance!

That's what I thought too but as I mentioned I did the paperclip test with my power supply and it's starts up fine, so it's probably my motherboard
. I manged to get it running again, thank god but I'll have to hope for the best until I can have the motherboard checked... Thank you so much for the advice and maybe I should just upgrade my pc all together (it's about 4 1/2 years old) haha.
