I bought the powersupply in 2011 and it has worked very well for me. As of the middle of March it started clicking slightly. The clicking has become more common, about 50% of the time it can be heard. I've verified that it is the PSU fan and nothing else in the computer.

My question is this: Should I be alarmed? My case is fairly well cooled (I have five other fans running in it), should I be worried and replace the PSU?

It's a bad fan\bearing issue it needs to be replaced.

With the power cord unplugged, open the case and spin the PSU fan by hand. Does it feel or sound clicky? Or is it hitting something? It might need a bit of oil on the bearing or replacing as SR-71 suggests. Another Antec or a Corsiar or Seasonic or Silverstone - there's plenty of good ones to choose from.

Thanks, I think I will.

ED: Do you know of a PSU that's at least 650W or better? I'm running a GTX 770 and don't think the 550W is going to supply it well (according the nVidia's recommendations)

Thank you SR-71. I went ahead with the 650W. I don't know a ton about PSUs, tbh. They're the things in the computer that I have to have so the fun stuff works :)
