I keep getting a Blue Screen saying registry error, on my windows 8.1 rig. I have a Nvidia gtx 770 graphics card with all the up-to-date drivers installed. The action center gives me this when I look at the problem log. This happens every time that I leave my computer on, without doing anything, for more than 5 or 10 minutes. When my computer is playing a game or watching a video, it never crashes. Any help would be great, thanks!

Wait.. I got a closer look at the bucket ID and it is linking to your nvidia drivers.updating might not work, but check if there are no other graphics drivers interfering (eg. you had an amd card but forgot to remove drivers when switching to GTX 770)

But just in case it is a drive error, I suggest checking it with chkdsk. this can be done by:

start menu>computer>right-click on Local Disk (C)>Properties>tools>Check
Hope this helps!

This just started happening to me a couple of weeks ago, took some time to realize it since I wasn't present when it happened until today. I keep a change log of what I do to my computer and the last thing performed was a driver update to the GeForce GTX 760. It started with the drivers released in May, and still happens with the drivers issued in July 2014. I'm going to try a complete uninstall/reinstall of the latest driver and if that doesn't work, go back to the driver I had before May.

I do not think this because of a hard disk or SSD error.

Perhaps there is a driver conflict with the Internal graphics? (If there are any) But I doubt it. This can happen but it is very rare, as most internal graphics drivers are designed to de-activate when there is a new discrete Graphics card.
