Cases are pretty much personal preference.
Are you actually close enough to a Microcenter to make it worth while?
Look into a Seasonic or XFX PSU. Corsair CX are bottom of the line. Corsair parent company is Seasonic but the CX series are cheap.

While I know that basing quality of a PSU solely on wattage is one of the worst ways, I've never really understood a solid way of finding a reliable one. How does one "rate" a PSU :p?

And btw I'm going with the corsair 600 cx modular, I know its not great but it works.

Do not get that Cx unit. You will regret it when it fails and frys every single part of your PC. Get an XFX550 for the same price. WAY better quality.

Raidmax cases , like everything the make, are pretty awful. Change to Antec, Corsair, NZXT, Coolermaster, Bitfenix, Fractal Design.

Last, if you ditch overclocking, you can get a cheaper i5, cheaper motherboard and save enough money to get a better GPU and DRASTICALLY improve gaming performance.

I fully agree, don't get a CX series psu. Also if you did cut overclocking you could upgrade the GPU to a GTX 760

OOPS! Lol I had the GTX 760 but I guess it didn't save when I put it in. As for the XFX 550, would that be modular? And is 550 enough if I'm somewhat trying to future proof the PSU?

I am, there's one about 10 minutes from my house. While this is my first build and I'm not an expert, I think the combo deal I'm getting with the CPU and motherboard seems excellent.

Changed the ram, PSU, and HDD for the better. Faster ram, cheaper HDD, and a quality PSU( deal won't last long).

Also if you plan on overclocking you would need a CPU cooler, and I would suggest a Cooler master hyper 212 evo.

Thanks but I simply can't afford it. My original budget was $700 and I passed it. 865 is just too much lol. As for the memory, is the speed necessary for gaming? And I'd rather spend $3 more on Western Digital simply because of reliability. However, I do think that the PSU deal is great (though rebates are always sketchy). Lastly, should I go with the graphics card or wait for a better deal? Thanks again.

*EDIT* I realized that a lot of the excess money was because a lot of rebates ended a few days ago (that's why I had purchased the case and optical drive)

Well not really, its just a choice. 1600mhz should be fine. I'd just get the blue version of the ares ram to match the color scheme.

The GPU is usually $250, so it's a good deal right now after rebates.
