Hi! I need to connect a WD Scorpio Blue WD2500BEVT Serial ATA (SATA) from 2009 to my desktop pc. I have a motherboard asus sabertooth 990fx R2 and a 650W power supply.
Can I connect this without frying the disk? I know about the connector adapter usb, but I was wishing not to spend money at all.
Need to recover the entire disk for we don't know what the problem really is with the notebook it belongs to and don't really trust any technician.

Thanks for your help.

There is no problem to use that laptop HDD as long as it don't contain a virus. Just connect it into the SATA port.
