Just got a EVGA GTX 750 Ti sc an I followed the instructions on installing it onto the motherboard. After plugging everything back in an booting up the computer all I get is a black screen that reads "Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key"

Specs:

Asus Essentio Desktop M11BB-B06
A-10 6700 AMD 8670D HD APU 3.7ghz Quad-Core
Asus F2A55-M/CSM Motherboard
350 Watt PSU
8gb of 1600mhz Ram
Asus 27" IPS LED Monitor
1tb hard drive

I took the graphics card back out an moved my HDMI cable back to the motherboard HDMI port an booted back up again. Same message appears. It doesn't go straight to that though I can still see the big Asus name pop up an give me the option to press F2 to enter the BIOS. I can still enter the BIOS but I don't know what the hell to do in there. Any help please....

Sounds like you've pulled out the SATA cable while installing the GPU.

Nope I just checked that after reading your post. All the cables are still firmly in place.

enter the BIOS/UEFI and make sure the boot device did not get changed somehow. Also select the GPU as the primary display device and not the APU.

It says...

IGFX Multi-Monitor : Disabled
Primary Video Device : PCIE / PCI
Integrated Graphics : Auto

and I don't know how to tell what boot device is selected. This is my best guess from what I see. It has 3 boxes in the bottom left of the screen here is what they say.

Boot Priority
Box 1 (Looks like a pic of a hard drive) : P0: WDC WD10ezex-22RKKA0
Box 2 (looks like an optical drive with a disc half-way out): P3: Asus SH-224DB
Box 3 (looks like another hard drive with a blue ribbon on top left of it with UEFI on it) Windows Boot Manager (P1: WDC WD10EZEX-22RkkA0

Also all three of those are same color of a teal or grey an when I click one it turns light blue.

EDIT: also it has a little grey arrow in between each one pointing to the right.

You may need to put the UEFI one at the top. IIRC from your other thread, you've got Win8 OEM, which is UEFI.

So switch the order from...

Box 1
Box 2
Box 3

to

Box 3
Box 1
Box 2

You sir are a genius if I could kiss your feet I would lmao (Hopefully you are a sir if not sorry lol)

Thank you to both of you on this thread above this post for helping me out. My computer is now on the windows startup an everything is back to normal except for the display resolution which i can handle.

So now I just download the drivers from the Disc that came with it right?

Yup. Drivers on the Nvidia website are probably newer than the ones on the disc.

Why not the disc? I've already started the driver install from the disc. what should I do?

Just cancel the installation and download from the link I provided. the disk drivers are old and out of date and you will need to update them anyways so might as well download teh proper one to start with.

It updated by itself to one that was released 3/10/2014 before I could cancel the installation

So I shouldn't trust this NVidia Geforce Experience program that checks for driver updates?

That program is fine. You can use it to keep up to date on the GPU drivers.

Thank you guys for the hasty response I'm glad someone smarter than me was able to figure out my situation although it turned out not to be as bad as I thought it was going to be. Much appreciated!!!

If I could give you both a Solution point I would but sadly they only allow me to select one person. Both of you are more than helpful. Anyone that see this post should take note of that. Thanks again Guys!!!
