Concerns a ps3

Solution
short answer - yes

long answer: I don't think that the slim ps3s have a voltage toggle switch so you may need to get some form of US/CA power adapter with a build in voltage converter to get it down to 110v

ps3 games are region free so you can play any games you buy anywhere on any ps3 (which I have done/do regularly)

dlc for games requires it to be downloaded from the store in the same region. So if you buy a US version of a game, all dlc for that game must come from the US PSN store - requiring you to set up a US based account with a US based zip code etc (same for any country/region) Once the dlc is downloaded, installed and licensed you can then switch back to your original account and use it fine (again I've done this many times...

you want to keep your original account for trophy sync etc I assume? in that case take your ps3 to Canada, set yourself up a canadian psn id (keeping your original one), buy all the ps3 games you want, go to either the CA or EU psn store when you want to download content - depending on which region the disc came from - and always play on your original account to keep the trophy sync the same

oh yeah - and enjoy canada... beautiful country
