If you play the games on 720p you should be able to play on ultra with a decent ammount of AA.
1080p-not so much. will till be playable though.

Considering PS4 and X1 games run at 1080p+30fps+FXAA, or 900p+60fps+FXAA, or 768p+60 fps+4xMSAA, the answer is yes.

If you try to hold those console ports to what are generally considered PC standards; 1080p+60fps+4xMSAA, you will have wildly varying results. Some will run at high, some will run at ultra. Some may even run on medium, if they look particularly good in a couple years.

For best optimization, I would suggest 1080p+45fps+2xMSAA+MLAA, if you find yourself struggling to hold ultra settings.

1080p will be fine for a 7870. You may have to turn down the AA a bit. That PC will run BF4 on the ultra preset with 2xMSAA no problem 45+FPS.

You should get a memory kit with 2 4GB sticks instead of just 1 4GB stick. Dual channel memory is far better than single channel. But yes, your planned rig will be up to the task of playing those games.
