Hi everybody,
I wanted to build a pc,which will mainly be used for Matlab simulations- but also a little bit for gaming - not much but anyway.

Components:
corsair CXM 430Watt 43€
Cooler Master K-280 33€
Asus B85M-G 63€
Corsair ValueSelect 1333-8GB 65€
Asus GeForce GTX 650E,1GB 90€
intel Xeon E3-1230v3 212€
Crucial M500 - 240GB 97€

The questoins that I have:
1. Does anybody have experience with this power supply and how noise it is?
2. Is this the correct mainboard to use with the xeon processor?
3. Would downsizing to an amd fx-8350(-50€) or a fx-6300(-100€) be a reasonable thing to do?
I read that the amd fx-8*** models perform poorly with Matlab/Simulink.
How much of a performance drop can i expect?
4. I want to dual-boot linux and Windows: Can there be a problem with some of the components?
So far I only used Ubuntu and debian.
5. Any other comment.

Thank you for reading.
