Screen black out while gaming

hey guys.. My screen black out while gaming but the game still running (sound and button still on even tho the screen black out) in almost every game i have, i'm using a DVI Cable on my GTX 780 bcs my monitor only have DVI and VGA port.

thanks guys! really need help here :)

Try older drivers, check your connection, switch DVI ports, monitor temps (make sure Vram is not over heating) Close out of all unnecessary programs including fps monitors, antivirus. If problems still persist and you have a friend with another Nvidia build try putting the card in his/her comp. Of course a full re-install of windows might do the trick, but that's not fun. This might be a physical problem with the card. I used to own a 290x until I got black screens while playing. I returned that card and they told me that i was a common problem with card.

ALSO IF YOU ARE USING A SINGLE connector for both 8pin and 6pin connectors, use 2 cables instead, friend had this problem with his 280x.

If this card is new, then it might be a defect. If not, try the small things first and before you re-install windows try the card in a different rig.
