Im still new to computers but im trying to make my computer better. Any tips

My computer now
Corsair 540 cube case
H100i
M599fx r 2.0 mobo
Amd fx 9590
Evga geforce gtx 780 ti acx
16 gb ram ddr3
111 gb ssd
1tb hdd
Corsair 1000 w power supply

Im looking at the sabertooth 990 fx or the crosshair formula z. Any help would be great

Depends on what you plan to do with it, regardless the 9590 is a waste, be just as well off with an 8350 (and less heat, lower power required). 1,000 watt PSU is way, way overkill unless planning tri/quad SLI/XFire....

Yeah, im not to impressed with the cpu. Whenever i run it at 5 ghz after 30 min to an hour my computer will lock up. It never did that until i upgraded from a fx 6200 but when i run 4.7 ghz it runs fine.

PArt of why I haven't really kept up with the mobos, played with one on a Crosshair because they were claiming it could run 2400 sticks, got 8GB to run, but had to crank up voltages, pulled them and the guy stuck w/ 1866, a little LN would be nice ;)

If i do switch the cpu to an intel i was hearing that anything over the i5 is overkill. Something about hyperthreading is not used that much o unless im future proofing stick with i5.
