Hi

Things which can block windows 64 from installing
Processor ( core 2 duo usually ok seems ok)
Motherboard chipset
Bios ( net books usually did not allow x64 windows )
Amount of real ram available
(If integrated graphics chip grabs too much may be below minimum specified for setup)
Lack of free hard disk space
See ms specs
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows7/products/system-requirements
Seems lack of 2GB ram may be problem

Certainly not worth using x64 windows if ram less than 4GB

Regards
Mike Barnes
