CPU Cooler Too Big

I am working on my very first pc build and I bought a Asus Z87 Deluxe, Corsair Dominator Platinum, I7-4770k CPU and a Noctua NH-D14. Well I found an issue where the CPU cooler is too big to fit in this, it hits my ram. I got a few questions.. Does it matter if the CPU is directly in the middle of the coolers plate, all of it sits on the plate but its on the corner of it?.. Then I also run into another problem with the brackets for the cooler, it's showing on the instructions to screw in some bolts that look to lift it up to put the mounting bar in, but the bolts are just sitting freely on my motherboard, is there something I'm missing that was supposed to keep those bolts from wiggling around? Also, if I decide to return the Nocuta, will the stock cooler for the cpu be fine until I get a new cooler? I don't plan on overclocking atm..

well i answered one of my questions.. The cooler wont fit with the ram I have.. It won't sit on the mounting bar properly.. So I guess the only question I have is, will my stock cooler work fine until I can get a replacement cooler without overlocking? I don't plan to stress it too much, just playing some game on it..

It will be fine with the stock for a while since you are not overclocking. You might look into the coolermaster 212 EVO cooler. It might be less wide than the Noctua and the fans on the EVO are adjustable so you will be able to raise the fan up if it hits the ram.
