I have an Asus VG248QE as my current and only monitor and am looking to get a second monitor for my PC.

The specs are:
EVGA 780 superclocked
4670k
8 gigs of gskill ares 1600mhz

I don't really want to get at second VG248QE because I don't plan on gaming on my second monitor. I want to use the VG248QE for gaming and a second monitor for web browsing/netflix/etc... I'm not looking for something really expensive but don't want anything dirt cheap either, probably looking for something $100 to $200. Anyone have any advice?

Looking at usage of 2nd monitor, for multimedia tasking i would recommend an IPS monitor for better pic quality and colors. Here is one from Asus at resonable price:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

Monitor: Asus VS239H-P 23.0" Monitor ($154.99 @ Micro Center)
Total: $154.99
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

I would definitely get an IPS for the secondary monitor for browsing/videos. The colors will be MUCH better than the VG248QE, but it won't be nearly as good for gaming.

Try to get a 24" to match the size, unless you don't mind having a smaller one. My IPS is a VN248H-P and I would recommend it. Has a very nice thin bezel which is good for multi-monitor setups (especially since the VG248QE has such a big bezel.)
