I emailed AMD regarding the release date the other day and they replied that it would hit the component channel in the second half of 2014. I wouldn't expect to see it before July.

Congratulations AMD, by thinking you'll cannibalize your sales of the a10-7850k by releasing the a8-7600, you delayed your release. Guess what? I'm now running an intel for my HTPC as your wattage is too high for my needs..... Not a smart move at all on your part. Next time when you have a great design, release it right away instead of trying to peddle your inferior junk and helping the competition.

Awesome pic. :) The way I'm looking at it is while the thread is 2 months old, it is still relevant as AMD keeps pushing their 'swan song' of an APU back. :(

I think it's stupid they've waited so long to release it to retail too. Back when Kaveri first came out reviewers were reviewing the a8 7600 too, they praised it's solid performance considering not much power usage, especially it's 45w setting, but AMD for whatever stupid reason has decided to wait 6+ months >_> and probably lost a bunch of sales.

Yup, the articles praised the 7600's, but hated he 7850k's as the power to performance ratio was bad. As it is, it sounds like the 7600 wont be out until close to Intel's Broadwell release, which would be way too late in the game.
