will windows 7 mouse and keyboard work on windows 8.1 and is the computer good?

so im buying a new gaming pc its windows 8 and the keyboard and gaming mouse that comes with it also i wanna know if the pc im buying is good it is 2322.86 (not including monitor just tower) heres info about it

You are wasting so much money its ridiculous. This is a workstation PC, not a gaming machine.

Change the CPU to an i5. That i7 is for workstations, not gaming builds. The i5 CPU and motherboard change will GREATLY lower costs and not affect performance.
Get 8gb RAM
Change the GPU to a 780

These changes will lower costs but raise performance.

+1, and for the second part of your question, unless your mouse or keyboard is PS/2, it should work without a hitch.

This is just the tower and it will blow away most rigs. Raid 0 the 2 ssd's.....and having an sli set up. I wouldnt run this with one monitor tho.......if your not ready for sli set up then it decreases your cost.

**edit, i forgot the blu ray player...it adds maybe 50 bucks tho.
