i am studying animation & graphic design in rajasthan, india ( it's pretty hot in summers, >38 cent, i guess it's helpful to know temp. to plan a pc build). also on a tight budget of 750-800 USD (around Rs. 48000)
i know it's hard to build a high end gaming or professional animation pc in such a budget but, i figure it's viable if i say, i don't care about stunning graphics or perfectly smooth fps while gaming, which i am interested only because this is most likely my future industry and i enjoy playing few good games now & then like mafia2, sniper elite (not a big gamer); also don't need to encode or edit videos, ]just simple 3d animation, design, decent rendering for personal use.

i don't mind waiting few secs for booting. if it makes much price difference

don't know or care about overclocking or crossfiring, whatever.

just need upgradable, future friendly, moderate, minimalistic pc that could play latest games at sweet res. & respectable speed and handle decent multitasking & photoshop, maya, max etc.
nothing high end about this.

i have a prehistoric dual core e5300, 2.6 ghz 1 gb ram & suspect an internal graphic card maybe, with an unupgradable MOBO (coz it's got no slots for GC). these, my dealer says will go for 61 USD (Rs. 3700)

i can settle for a second hand led & need no other peripherals.

PLEASE HELP ME, i'm already leaking all kind of fluids, writing this great essay and highly appreciate ur rescue.

these r my choices, please advise:
1) core i5 3570k / i5 3330 / i5 4570
2) 4GB RAM, me thinks is enough for 64 bit win 7, with a ssd on the list??
3) 64 GB SSD as primary booting disk ( 30 GB for win 7, 20 GB for any 2 games, rest for softwares)
4)500 GB HDD (i don't like stuffing up my pc)
5)compatible MOBO: intel 67cl/75el; ASUS h81. please suggest something. by the way, what is VGA & DMV??
6) sapphire hd 770 / evga geforce gt650 ti boost graphic card ( i don't know which one)
7) cooler master 550W (do i need xtra fan? coz i don't think i'll overclock, is it worth the effort?)
8) lots of paper napkins.
i'm sketchy about the prices here, but i guess it's around 812USD (48920 RS.) via pcpartmaker with added 83USD for the dealer.

please xcuse me for my late reply
i've decided to drop ssd, istead put ny bucks into a better graphics card
these are the latest configs in my ming according to prices and availability in the indian market:

1) intel i5 4430 3ghz lga 1150 (PROCESSOR) = Rs 11500+ asus b85m-g (MOBO) = Rs 6000 + corsair v 550w (PS) = Rs 3200 + corsair vengeance ddr3 8 gb (RAM) = Rs 6000 + asus nvidia geforce gtx 650 ti boost 2 gb (GRAPHIC CARD) = Rs 14000 + antec gx 700 (case mid tower) = Rs 4000 + wd blue wb10ezex 1 tb (HDD) = Rs 4000; total approx Rs 48000 (USD 800)

2)amd fx 8350 (PROCESSOR) = Rs 13000 + m5a97 asus (MOBO) = Rs 6000 + corsair v 550w (PS) = Rs 3200 + corsair vengeance ddr3 8 gb (RAM) = Rs 6000 + HIS AMD h785qn2g2m 2 gb ddr 5 (GRAPHIC CARD) = Rs 16000 + wd blue wb10ezex 1 tb (HDD) = Rs 4000 + antec gx series gx 700 mid tower (CASE) = Rs 4000; total approx 52000 (USD 866)

which one is better?? any suggestions??

You are not going to be able to do much 3D animation if you are using 4 gigs of RAM, and I suggest you upgrade your SSD to about 120, but if you think you will only need 64, fine by me :3 And you will need a nice cooling system since it gets hot there :p

This will definitely get you there if you don't need Windows. The i5 will also be much better than AMD for normal computing as well:

Also if you can spend more get a 270x or GTX 760 graphics. Compare the prices with some Indian online stores like Flipkart.

If you want to upgrade in future then you must aim for a higher power supply since the current one is not capable for crossfire or sli in future. Micro ATX and ATX are motherboard standards. There are many. It is the size of the motherboard. I prefer ATX size since it is large and will have more features. Most tower cases are ATX cases. If you don't need an SSD I wouldn't recommend it. It has nothing to do except some fast booting and loading times. Here in India 128 GB Samsung SSD costs around Rs 8000. So probably with that money you can go for a higher end GPU rather than led and so on. Better get CM Sickleflow Case fans since they have built in LEDs. VGA means Video Graphics Array. It is an old video interface. The newer ones are DVI, HDMi, Display Port.etc and I don't get what is dmv.

Here, it's a little over budget, but it'll perform VERY nicely. I went with no SSD as it does help the price a lot.
When it comes to upgradeability, you have the current 1150 socket, a full atx motherboard, and a nicely sized case to fit more hardware in. The PSU is also a solid one and should handle anything short of SLI.

Also, if you don't plan to overclock, do not get that i5 3570k. You could save a few bucks if you went for just the i5 3570. And try to get a better price for that computer you have now, maybe sell it on eBay and make some extra cash you could spend on this system.

thnx echocookie, nice suggestion

although i have decided to not have ssd since they're really only good for booting ( especially when one is on a budget), t'd rather spend those bucks on a better GC.

these are the configs in my mind according to price and availability in the indian market:

what do u think??

Personally, I would get #2, mainly because of that processor. And also, getting rid of the SSD was a good choice, because you are on a budget.
