Just built my PC yesterday, and I am having a problem with the rear case fan. When I turn on the PC the front case fan and CPU fan spin, but the rear fan does not spin at all.

Is the rear fan supposed to spin when the PC turns on, or does it spin only under pressure? the rear case fan is a 3pin connector connected to a 4pin male on the mobo. Am i supposed to change some fan settings in the Bios to get it spinning, or does it only spin under certain conditions?

Any help would be appreciated.

The rear fan should run just like all the rest. It may be a bad fan motor or a bad MB header. But first check that you connected the 3 pin KK connector to the 4 pin header correctly. I know it is keyed to go in only one way, but you could have forced it incorrectly.

Then try the fan on the header that the front fan is plugged into. If it spins, the other header is either defective or somehow disabled in BIOS. If it doesn't spin, the motor/fan is defective.
