Hi Everyone,

I am currently trying to recover files from a hard drive partition that is corrupt and inaccessible, showing 0 bytes. I have a second hard drive that I was able to boot up to and have checked that the corrupt partition shows up in Disk Management displaying the proper size. The partition also shows up as Healthy but I do not know what that means.

I have also been able to access most of the files through a partition recovery program but to save all the files I want I have to pay. I have not been able to find any other program that sees the drive.

I'm pretty good with computers but know nothing about the background stuff such as BIOS and how the file systems run. Is there an easy way I can go about getting my files back? What should I be doing at this point to accomplish my goal?

Thanks for you time

If the software shows all the files you need, pay for it and be sure to back up next time. There's free software out there buts it's mostly total crap.

I was looking through it after my post and I can't actually access the files I want. The "users" folder seems to not be there and I want to access my documents. I have all of my important files backed up on another hard drive but I wanted to see if I could save some images and saved games. Nothing extremely important and not worth the $69.00 that the program is charging, especially when I don't have money to spend on programs at the moment.

Any idea for other ways to recover the hard drive?

Nothing under 69$. there's other software you can try, but nothing free is going to help you.
