My cd's were transferred from Windows XP onto my new Windows 8 computer. How do I play them?

Windows Media Player is still included in Windows 8 (had to find it on my sister's new laptop). DVD playback is not included with Windows 8. If you're just listening to music. No need for VLC (unless you like it. I have no complaints).
