I will have all the parts except monitor and GPU by tomorrow, can I start building the desktop and installing OS while using HDMI from mobo to old TV (horrible res).

Could I start overclocking, or testing parts, will the TV being used have any effect on them?

Thanks !

The TV doesn't matter as long as you can connect it to your motherboard. The GPU doesn't matter either as long as your CPU comes with onboard graphics.

Just on the offchance you might know this, Asus motherboard comes with CD containing some software for mobo controls etc, since I have NZXT case and no external CD drive atleast until monday, is there to get its data to USB for use?

The iGPU (integrated graphics) doesnt know or care whats on the other end of the HDMI cable, the TV should be fine.

You could copy the CD's contents to a USB, though you will need a working computer to do that. If you have a working computer, then your much better off just downloading the latest drivers (or at least the LAN drivers, so you can download the rest on the machine itself) rather than using whats on the disc anyway.
