I am bulding my new pc and I already bought i7 4770K chip for it.
My next buy is going to be a monitor which I will be using for both work and gaming. I occasionally want to play 3d games too so I need a 3d monitor
Which monitor shoudl I go for?
Also which GPU would you recommend?
I want to spend around $700-800 for both and need something solid.

You mean 1440p with 3d?

help me understand.
I want to have 2 pairs of 3d glasses for me and my son. WIll I need 2 kits or can I just buy one kit and one extra pair or do I need two kits?
is the nvidia glasses compatible with the asus 24 inch 3d monitor?

I dont know that awful much about monitors to be honest. I do know a 1440 is out of your price range though. i was just saying a 780 would run it. as far as kid glasses i saw some in a 3d display at best buy not that long ago. I have no idea who made them though i just realized it when i went to put them on.

Concerning NVidia 3D Vision, yes, you will need to buy a 3D kit (will come with emitter and one pair of glasses) and a spare glasses kit (runs about $50 I believe) and yes, the Asus monitor I listed is NVidia 3D compatible.
