Hard drive died, backed up data, What now??

Hello guys, ok unfortunately my harddrive had recently died :(  lucky i have backed up my games and everything to an external harddrive, so what do i do now? how do i tranfer everything to another hard driver? Thanks for the help guys!

If you have backed up your important files then you can just simply replace the broken hard drive with a new one and install your preferred OS and applications. Then copy the files you wanted from your back up drive to your new system.

do i just use the disc i originally bought??

Probably you can still use that disc if that's the one you originally used to install your OS before.
