Hey, I just liquid cooled my AMD Athlon x4 760k richland with a NZXT Kraken x40. I'm just wondering what should my CPU temperatures be under load and while idle, so I know if everything went smooth. Thanks!
Currently I am running 45-50 degrees (celsius, of course) while idle and 75-80 degrees while under load.

More about : idle load temperatures

Someone else was getting real bad temps - http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18570...

An air cooler gets about 40C at idle and 75C at load - http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1866413/amd-athl...

So they run pretty hot. Your Kraken should do a bit better than the air cooler though. It might be worth re-doing the thermal interface material.

Also don't mix up core temps (hotter) with case temps.

I know, I am taking the average of the 4 core temperatures it gives me. So, you're saying I installed the thermal paste wrong? I literally just did it 10 minutes ago.
Plus I used the legit kind, Arctic Silver 5...so I don't know.
Plus those are the insane temperatures I was getting before I installed the water cooler. Just something to keep in mind.

The figures people quote are case temperatures - which are less than core temps. So your case temps are probably OK.
