Hello, I purchased the Cooler Master Storm Trooper case a few days ago to start building a new PC, and I recently found out the case fans are 3 pin DC. The case has a built-in fan controller at the top, but my motherboard (MSI GD65-Z87) only has 4 pin PWM connectors. Can I still control the fans using the controller at the top of the case, or do I need to buy a 3 pin controller? I am sorry if this has been answered, but I haven't seen my particular predicament. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

You still can use that built-in controller or you can plug 3pin fans onto 4pin motherboard headers!

Okay, thanks. I just wasn't sure because of the way PWM and DC work. I had read that I would be unable to control the speed of the fans because the fan lacks the 4th pin.

Yeah built-in fan controller will do the job :)
