What should i do to make my rig better?

I am wanting to upgrade my current rig to be able to play games such as Skyrim and Battlefield 4 on high graphics. Right now my specs are, this motherboard; http://www.gigabyte.us/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3517#ov
An AMD phenom II X4 945 (4 CPUs) 3.0 GHz processor with 8Gb ram, with an ATI radeon HD 2600 XT graphics card, (I have an extra radeon HD 4890 card that I can use but it needs heat sinks) and an Antec 750 power supply. Please advise on how I can make my rig better! Thanks!

Isn't that for Intel systems only though? Would the AMD Radeon R7 265 work just as well?

Intel systems only? No. You don't have to have an AMD graphics card just because you have an AMD processor. Intel and Nvidia are very different companies and have no relation whatsoever.

The AMD Radeon R7 265 is more powerful, but is also more expensive. Was trying to keep it around the $100 range for the best performance.

Ah ok! Well if that's all it will take then I don't mind spending more than $100. the rest of the rig will work fine?
