I'm building my first pc, and I'm going to use it for basically only gaming. I've been doing a lot of research and I'm pretty sure I've got a good setup (I realize some of these things are "overkill" for gaming, but it is what it is). I just want some knowledgable people to tell me if all these components are compatible.

The components are:
Case: NZXT Phantom PHAN-001BK
Motherboard: ASUS MAXIMUS VI HERO LGA 1150 Intel Z87
CPU: Intel Core i7 4770k 3.5 GHz LGA 1150
HDD: Samsung 840 EVO 2.5" 250 GB SSD
Memory: CORSAIR Dominator Platinum 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 Desktop Memory Model
PCU: RAIDMAX RX-1000AE 1000W ATX12V v2.3 / EPS12V 80 PLUS GOLD Certified
GPU: GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 780 3GB
Optical Drive: ASUS DVD Burner Black SATA Model
WiFi Card: Rosewill N900PCE Dual Band Wireless N900 PCI Express Adapter
Better CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

I've got a couple of NZXT fans as well, but I know those will work because they're the same case/fan brand. I don't have a sound card in there because I wasn't sure that I needed it (pretty sure the motherboard has some sort of integrated sound), but I appreciate any cheap recommendations because I'm at the top of my budget here. I'm also hoping to add a second GPU at some point and I'm pretty sure I've got the setup to accommodate SLI but, again, would appreciate any sort of findings about my compatibility and future SLI setup. Almost forgot, I'm going to be adding a larger HDD thats not an SSD for a game library of sorts.

if it is only for gaming, then drop to an i5, you can get a cheaper mobo unless you need some of the features on it. Could you get a mob with wifi built in? Get a HDD too, as 250GB won't last long, maybe 4 AAA games + windows, doing it now will be slightly easier.

Fans won't be a problem.
