This is my second thread about the same issue because I would love some more opinions.

I recently built my first computer and it works great apart from this. I'm currently using my monitor via a VGA cable that connects to my motherboard; I can't use my HDMI cord because it doesn't work either on my GPU or motherboard. I think the problem might be because I'm only using one 6 pin connector for my GPU when it requires two, but that doesn't explain why the HDMI isn't working on my motherboard, or does it?
Also I know it's not the HDMI cable or monitor, thanks!

GPU: R9 270x
CPU: AMD fx 6300

Normally when you have a dedicated GPU the onboard gets disabled. Intel has the ability to use onboard but it is just an ok version.
