Best Graphics card for single monitor gaming

I currently want to build a new rig, one that will handle all present and future games for awhile. I only want to game on a single monitor, simply because I don't like multi-monitor use. I really want the 780 ti but its real expensive still. Would the 750ti be a better purchase, or would it be better to get two of them and sli them?

Hi,
GTX 750Ti can't be SLIed, there is no SLI bridge for the GTX 750Ti, therefor it doesn't support it. GTX 770 or R9 280X will be much better option for your system, since you will be using only one monitor and probably you will be gaming at 1080p resolution. Yes, the GTX 750Ti can play games now on 1080p at medium settings, but in one years time or maybe more it will struggle with upcoming titles, while the GTX 770 or R9 280X will be more future proof for 1080p gaming

first of all i wouldnt recommend sli since you can achieve best performance at 1080p with a single gpu and not run into stuttering issues. with the same money 2*750ti have, you can get gtx770 http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-video-card-gtx770dc2oc2gd5 that can max out pretty much everything and ensure really smooth gameplay! even with gtx760 you can have very good results http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-video-card-gtx760dc2oc2gd5. 780/780ti are better suited for 1440p , at 1080p are overkill! though, you need intel i5 or amd 8320 for cpu, for 760-770 to really shine!

Easiest way to find the best GPU for you. Look at how much money you have, and look at the two GPU's (AMD and Nvidia) that are at your pricepoint and decide between them and then on brand.
Theirs no point wondering if you should get a 780Ti if you don't have the cash for it.
