This adapter.

Basically jumpers the PSU_ON signal from the 24pin plugged into your mobo, to the PSU thats not plugged into it. Means that both PSU's will be turned on when you hit the front power button.

Why would you want to?

There's basically no reason, and you're opening yourself up to huge amounts of hassle with crossloads and the power-on wire.

as a general rule its not a good idea. they would have to be isolated and jerry rigged to get em to work.
isolated in that you cant really use 1 psu to power the gpu and the other, the motherboard. you would have to use 1 for the whole pc and the other for fans or pumps (on a water cooled system), just so you dont cross contaminate the voltages.
